No WiFi or Ethernet connectivity? We either have to be within Bluetooth range, or depend on an external service provider that is going to charge fees after 12 months? No thank you. Will rather look for something that integrates with SonOff / Home Assistant / Tasmota or any of the other home automation platforms.

From what I understand in the article there are 2 ways of communicating with the monitoring device, so either by Bluetooth, so you’ll have to be within range. It also uses SigFox’s LPWAN IOT network, so data will be send to the cloud and then I expect you should be able to access the data via the app anywhere in the world.
